Maths Teacher (Maternity Cover)

We are currently looking to appoint a Teacher of Maths (Maternity Cover) to join our large maths faculty. This is a full-time fixed term appointment from July or September 2024, with end date to be confirmed, anticipated Summer 2025.  There is a strong possibility of a permanent post being available for the right candidate.

The Maths Department consists of 14 highly skilled and passionate members of staff who are fully committed to ensuring each student maximises their potential in Maths and is able to enjoy the diverse range of topics that we study at Marriotts from KS3 to A-Level. The mathematics curriculum at Marriotts School is designed to deepen students’ understanding of core mathematical principles through a mastery approach; which focuses learning onto the ‘why’ of mathematics. We are a beacon of good practice, embedding and sustaining Maths Mastery as well as hosting local visits. 

The successful candidate will be a qualified, enthusiastic and committed practitioner who is able to provide high quality teaching and learning for our students, and who is willing to embrace additional extra-curricular activities.  This role is integral to the School's aim of ensuring that 'every lesson, every day is good or better'.
