About the Sixth Form

We offer a wide range of subjects to ensure all students have the opportunity to reach and exceed their potential, leaving us with the qualifications, skills and attitudes to excel, both in higher education and the working world.

We are very proud of the thriving sixth form of over 270 students we have built and are continuing to build here at Marriotts. We have seen consistently strong attainment outcomes. In 2024, 26% of grades were at A-A* or Distinction-Distinction*, and 63% were at A*-B or Distinction*-Merit. Almost all students have moved onto planned next steps including apprenticeships, employment and 60% have moved onto University,to include York, Kings College London, Leeds, Cardiff and Warwick to name but a few. We are particularly delighted that Heather Mann has secured a place at the University of Oxford to study Law. Courses taken include Biochemistry, Economics, English Literature, Astrophysics, Social Work, Early Child Education, Optometry, Engineering, Criminology, Molecular Biology, Music, History and Zoology amongst many others. This emphasises that we fully support students in reaching their chosen next steps, whatever they may be. You can see a full list of 2024 destinations in our Destinations page.
